LEDC’s Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Program offers homebuyer education, counseling, and $10,000 for down-payment or closing costs, supporting individuals and families in achieving homeownership and building long-term financial prosperity.

LEDC hopes to help individuals and families who can afford a monthly mortgage payment and bills but have not been able to save enough for a down payment and/or closing costs to buy their home.
Eligibility Requirements
- The amount of assistance will be $10,000 for down-payment or closing costs.
- First-Time Homebuyers only.
- Attend LEDC’s Homebuyer Seminar and 1-on-1 Counseling.
- Household income under 120% AMI.
- Minimum $1,000 contribution.
- Qualify for a mortgage.
- Ratified sales contract in a “Sustainable Community” located in Montgomery or Prince George’s County.
- Home inspection required.
- Attend LEDC’s Post-Purchase 1-on-1 Counseling.
