Gustavo Vargas
Bilingual Tenant Organizer
Gustavo Vargas is a Bilingual Tenant Organizer at LEDC. He joined the team in April 2021 and has been working with tenants across the city, supporting them in exercising their rights, improving their living conditions, and fighting for dignified, affordable housing. Gustavo is a 20-year resident of the DC area and has also been involved in organizing, mobilizing, and doing activism working with anti-imperialist organizations and anti-fascist Bolivian diaspora in the DMV. Gustavo is also a musician, educator, and cultural advocate with DC’s Son Jarocho collective Son Cosita Seria and Wayta Andean duo.
