Guidance for Government Contracting

Government contracts are a tremendous financial opportunity for small businesses. The U.S. government is the largest consumer in the world. It buys all types of products and services — in both large and small quantities — and it’s required by law to consider buying from small businesses. It spends more than $700B every year in contracts, of which over $160B is set aside exclusively for Small Businesses. And this number increases every year.
When a small business gets a government contract, the small business is often able to quickly create jobs and spur economic growth. The federal government acts as a catalyst for small business growth and innovation.
Working with the government is also great for marketing. The government is one of the most powerful consumers in the world.
