Eviction Prevention Project Coordinator
Gabi joined LEDC in 2022 as a Bilingual Eviction Prevention Canvasser, and soon after became the Project Coordinator for the Eviction Prevention project. Gabi manages a team of canvassers who do outreach to tenants facing eviction in order to connect them with legal assistance and other resources. The Eviction Prevention project is a coalition effort between many community organizations and legal groups, and aims to equip tenants with the necessary knowledge and resources to fight their eviction case. Gabi grew up in the DMV area, and has been involved in community organizing work since moving to DC 4 years ago, including local electoral and policy campaigns, mutual aid, and planning community events and actions. Gabi likes to play pick-up soccer, play music with friends, and read about popular social movements throughout history.
