This episode of Econo-Mía, entirely in Spanish, showcases Ms. Eloiza Chamorro and how all the tenants living in an apartment building in Columbia Heights bettered their living conditions by organizing and learning their rights as tenants. 

Across the country, rental assistance programs have aided in the prevention of evictions. This episode of Econo-Mía features a Montgomery County resident who received rental assistance and an LEDC staff member who is on the ground helping tenants access this critical resource.

In January 2021, LEDC expanded its tenant services and eviction prevention efforts to Baltimore City. With support from the city and local partners, our team has helped dozens of families pay past-due rent and other necessary housing expenses.
