Robert C. Giron
Financial Empowerment Program Coordinator
Robert is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) that has been working with LEDC since 2024. In this role, Robert develops and facilitates bilingual financial capability workshop curriculums tailored to underserved communities. He also serves as a partner engagement resource that connects several local organizations that uphold similar values and missions to create economic stability and success.
Robert was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. He is a first-generation graduate born of Guatemalan immigrants. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from The Catholic University of America in 2022. As an accountant by profession, Robert began his professional career right out of college as a consultant for an international CPA firm. He decided to pursue a new career in 2024 where he could play a critical role in developing the economic stability of his local DMV community members.
Currently, Robert is actively pursuing his Master's in Business Administration at the University of Maryland Global Campus, through which he hopes to further develop his leadership, critical thinking, and analytical abilities that will help him succeed in his role at LEDC. Robert is also currently studying to become a Financial Counselor through a certification course by the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors.
In his free time, Robert enjoys playing Guatemalan marimba music, building custom PCs, reading about personal finance, and photography.
