MD Homebuyer Education Class
Interested in buying your first home in DC or Maryland?
This class is provided at the MD Office.

Class duration: from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
In this workshop you will learn how to navigate the process of buying a house in DC and Maryland and how to get a good mortgage.
You will also learn how your credit history, personal budget, and personal finances could affect your future success. The Latino Center for Economic Development (LEDC),
invites different experts including a loan officer, home inspector, real estate agent, and insurance agent to explain the different areas within the home buying process.
Information is also provided on programs to assist homebuyers for the first time in MD and DC.
This class conforms to the requirements of lender and government programs that require training for homebuyers for the first time.
Light Breakfast and Lunch are offered in the class courtesy of the experts.
Price: $ 50 for one person or $ 75 for a couple. For customers using the My Home (MD) program, the program reimburses the cost of the class.
Scholarships are available to all HPAP customers. Some banks also offer scholarships. If you are working with a lender that requires homebuyer education
for the first time, it is likely that you do not have to pay for the class.
The individual counseling session with an LEDC Counselor, after this class, is offered free of charge.
The individual counseling session AFTER the class is a requirement to receive your homebuyer education certificate.
