Empowered Women International

Empowered Women International (EWI), is a program of the Latino Economic Development Center designed for women from immigrant, refugee, low-income, and underserved communities in the Greater Washington DC Metro Area and Baltimore. Through our various programs, we aim to support women entrepreneurs who want to monetize their creative or cultural assets, artistic abilities, knowledge, and skills.

At EWI, we seek to advance women’s economic mobility through our holistic and culturally informed approach. We envision a more equitable world where women achieve economic mobility and are leaders and change-makers in their families, communities, and the world.

EWI offers a range of free or minimally-cost programs including entrepreneurship training and financial capability programs, one-on-one business coaching, mentorship, market access, and support services.
