Volunteers

Volunteers

We at LEDC value the work of volunteers to help fulfill our mission to drive the economic and social advancement of low- to moderate-income Latinos and other D.C. area residents by equipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their communities. We work to provide worthwhile opportunities with concrete benefits for all who choose to donate their time and energy in support of our work.

Get to know our tenant organizers and learn some of the ins-and-outs of community organizing as you walk through communities in DC hanging up and handing out fliers, reach out to tenants before events, assist with mailings, and collect signatures on advocacy campaigns in support of decent, affordable housing.

The Communications Volunteer helps our Communications and Advocacy Department create visually appealing graphics, photo essays, and posters to raise the visibility of LEDC's work in the community. Help our team take photos at major LEDC events, strengthen how we tell stories about the LEDC experience, and improve our ability to connect internal and external stakeholders with LEDC.
